Jen Young is the Director of Trailblazer Child and Youth Program. She earned an undergraduate degree from University of Utah in Exercise Science with a physical education teaching emphasis and a health education minor. She also earned a Master of Science Degree from UNLV’s Department of Sports Education Leadership. Jen has a variety of teaching, coaching and leadership experience from infant classrooms to teaching in the university setting. She enjoys a healthy and active lifestyle and incorporates as much movement into her life as possible. When Jen is not working, you’ll find her keeping up with her four fantastic kids, hiking, stand up paddle boarding, or practicing yoga.

Assistant Director

Dennis Sinisterra Gonzalez is the Assistant Director of Trailblazer CYP. She grew up in Colombia, where she earned a BS in Accounting. Dennis also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Northern Arizona University as well as a Utah Teaching License with Spanish endorsement, Montessori Teaching Credential, and Utah School Leadership License. She worked as an accountant, taught undergraduate Spanish courses, and taught grades 1-3 for six years before joining the Trailblazer CYP team. Dennis loves working with the amazing Trailblazer CYP team and she enjoys supporting the development of of future teachers and child care providers. Dennis also loves to spend time with her family, whether eating dinner to watching kid shows on tv to going on vacation together.

Marketing and Development Officer

Natalie Clark is the Marketing and Development Officer at Trailblazer CYP. She earned a BA in English from Brigham Young University and completed graduate-level coursework in law, management, fashion design, and organizational behavior. She is a lifelong learner and believes passionately in continuing education. Natalie brings vast experience in the public relations, tech, ecommerce, fashion, and consulting industries to her work with Trailblazer CYP. She loves being part of this program because she gets to make connections with fantastic students, wonderful military families, amazing new cultures, and exciting opportunities every day. She enjoys spending time with her husband, four children, and two dogs as well as enriching her life through fashion, food, arts, and adventures around the globe.

Coordinator

Emma Rosillo is the Coordinator at Trailblazer CYP. She is currently enrolled in the Master of Sports Management program at Utah Tech University and earned a BS in Recreation and Sport Management here as well. Emma worked as a soccer coach and served a Trailblazer CYP internship in Naples, Italy before joining the team to help other interns have amazing opportunities and experiences. Emma loves spending time with her family and friends, especially outdoors at concerts, sporting events, and exploring the world. Her favorite adventure so far has been traveling across Ireland with her brother and she is excited to have many more!

Recruiting Representative

Cortney Houston is a Recruitment Representative at Trailblazer CYP. She is currently a senior at Utah Tech University studying Communications, Applied Leadership, and Psychology. Cortney is Alumni Ambassador President and served on the executive council for three years connecting students with alumni. Cortney loves working on the Trailblazer CYP team because she loves the opportunities for growth and learning among interns, within our team, and for the program in general. For fun, she loves to visit new coffee shops, restaurants, festivals, concerts, and other cultural events.

Recruiting and Travel Representative

Mia Renner is a Recruitment and Travel Coordinator at Trailblazer CYP. She earned a BA in General Studies from Idaho State University and is currently enrolled Master of Sports Management program at Utah Tech University. Mia worked as an equipment manager in the ISU athletic department and is excited to continue her education professional pursuits as a graduate assistant. As part of our Trailblazer CYP team, she loves connecting with students all around the world and witnessing the connections they make with military families. Mia loves to spend time outdoors, especially hiking and paddle boarding as well as spending time with her family and friends.
